And the man said unto Eli, “I am he that came from the army, and I fled today from the army.” And he said, “What is done there, my son?”
And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to-day out of the army. And he said, How went the matter, my son?
The man said to Eli, “I have come from the battle line. Indeed, I escaped from the battle line today.” Eli said, “How did things go, my son?”
The man said to Eli, I have come from the battle; I fled from the battle today. Eli said, How did it go, my son?
And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?
The man said to Eli, “I’m the one who came from the battle. I fled from there today.” “What happened, my son?” Eli asked.
The man told Eli, “I’m the one who just came from the battle. I fled from the battle today.” “What’s the report, my son?” Eli asked.
The man said to ‘Eli, “I’m the soldier that came; I escaped today from the battlefield.” He asked, “How did things go, my son?”
“I escaped from the fighting today and ran here.” “Young man, what happened?” Eli asked.
And the man said to Eli, I am he that came out of the battle, and I have fled to-day out of the battle. And he said, What has taken place, my son?
And he said to Heli: I am he that came from the battle, and have fled out of the field this day. And he said to him: What is there done, my son?
He said, “I am the man who just came from the battle. I ran away from the battle today.” Eli asked, “What happened, son?”
The soldier said to Eli, ‘I am the man who ran here today from the battle.’ Eli asked him, ‘What happened, my son?’
The man said to Eli, “I am the one who came from the battlefield. Today I fled from the battlefield.” Eli said, “What was the outcome, my son?”
And the man said to Eli, “I am he who has come from the battle; I fled from the battle today.” And he said, “How did it go, my son?”
And the man said to Eli, “I am he who has come from the battle; I fled from the battle today.” And he said, “How did it go, my son?”
The Benjaminite told him, “I have come from the battle. I ·ran all the way here [escaped/fled from the battle line] today.” Eli asked, “What happened, my son?”
And the man said unto Eli, I came from the army, and I fled this day out of the host: and he said, What thing is done, my son?
The man told Eli, “I’m the one who came from the battle. I fled from the front line today.” “What happened, son?” Eli asked.
The man said, “I have escaped from the battle and have run all the way here today.” Eli asked him, “What happened, my son?”
The man said to Eli, “I’m the one who came from the battle. I fled from there today.” “What happened, my son?” Eli asked.
The Benjaminite told him, “I have come from the battle. I ran all the way here today.” Eli asked, “What happened, my son?”
The man told Eli, “I’ve just come from the battle line, and I escaped from the battle today.” He asked, “What happened, my son?”
And the man said unto Eli, I come from the battle; I fled today out of the army. And he said unto him, What has happened, my son?
And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?

And the man said to Eli, “I am the one who came from the battle line. Indeed, I fled from the battle line today.” And he said, “How did things go, my son?”
And the man said to Eli, “I am the one who has come from the battle line! I have fled today from the battle line!” And he said, “What exactly happened, my son?”
“I have just come from the battle—I was there today,” he told Eli,
Immediately, a Benjaminite raced from the front lines back to Shiloh. Shirt torn and face smeared with dirt, he entered the town. Eli was sitting on his stool beside the road keeping vigil, for he was extremely worried about the Chest of God. When the man ran straight into town to tell the bad news, everyone wept. They were appalled. Eli heard the loud wailing and asked, “Why this uproar?” The messenger hurried over and reported. Eli was ninety-eight years old then, and blind. The man said to Eli, “I’ve just come from the front, barely escaping with my life.” “And so, my son,” said Eli, “what happened?”
The man said to Eli, “I am he that came out of the army, and I fled today out of the battle line.” And he said, “What is the word, my son?”
The man told Eli, “I’m the one who came from the battle. I fled from the front line today.” “What happened, son?” Eli asked.
The man said to Eli: “I have come from the battlefield; today I fled from there.” He asked, “What happened, my son?”
The man said to Eli, “I am the one who came from the battle line. Indeed, I escaped from the battle line today.” And he said, “How are things, my son?”
The man said to Eli, “I am the one who came from the battle line. Indeed, I escaped from the battle line today.” And he said, “How did things go, my son?”

The man said to Eli, “I am the one who came from the battle lines! Just today I fled from the battle lines!” Eli asked, “How did things go, my son?”
The man told Eli, “I’ve just come from the front lines of the battle. I just ran away from there today.” Eli asked, “What happened, son?”
He told Eli, “I have just come from the battle line; I fled from it this very day.” Eli asked, “What happened, my son?”
He told Eli, ‘I have just come from the battle line; I fled from it this very day.’ Eli asked, ‘What happened, my son?’
Then the man said to Eli, “I am he who came from the battle. And I fled today from the battle line.” And he said, “What happened, my son?”
The man said to Eli, “I have come from the battle. I ran from the battle today.” And Eli said, “How did it go, my son?”
He said to Eli, “I have just come from the battlefield—I was there this very day.” “What happened, my son?” Eli demanded.
The man said to Eli, ‘I have just come from the battle; I fled from the battle today.’ He said, ‘How did it go, my son?’

The man said to Eli, “I have just come from the battle; I fled from the battle today.” He said, “How did it go, my son?”

And the ish said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the ma’arakhah (battleground), and I fled today from the ma’arakhah. And he said, What happened there, beni?
And the man said to Eli, “I am he who has come from the battle; I fled from the battle today.” And he said, “How did it go, my son?”
And the man said to Eli, “I am he who has come from the battle; I fled from the battle today.” And he said, “How did it go, my son?”
Then the man said to Eli, “I am one coming from the battlefield—I escaped from the battlefield today.” “What is happening, my son?” he asked.
Benjaminite Messenger: I have just come from the battle. I fled the front lines to escape with my life. Eli: How did the battle go, my son?
The man said to Eli, “I am he who came out of the army, and I fled today out of the army.” He said, “How did the matter go, my son?”
And the man said to Eli, I am he that came from the battle, and I am he that fled today from the battle array. To whom Eli said, My son, what is there done? (My son, what is done there?)
And the man saith unto Eli, `I [am] he who hath come out of the ranks, and I out of the ranks have fled to-day;' and he saith, `What hath been the matter, my son?'
